Project: Take
Me There
A new experience providing those who cannot get out a chance to revisit their most cherished places
HOW DOES THE
PROGRAM WORK?
1. Schedule a time for a Project Take Me There visit by submitting a request.

2. We arrive at the scheduled time with VR equipment

3. Project Take Me There will use the Wander app to transport people to locations of their choice. No technical expertise is necessary – we do all the work!
Technology Steps Up to Meet Our Human Needs
COVID has left many people isolated and away from the people and places they love. Technology now makes it possible to transport yourself to the locations sacred to your heart.

Through the use of Virtual Reality you can be immersed in a 360 view of the neighborhood you grew up in or even take that trip to your dream destination. In this time of difficulty, it could be the experience much needed for those feeling far removed from the life they knew.
“Pleasant memories of the past
are precious possessions of the present.”

FAQs

Q: Where is the service available?

A: Currently, this service is only available in the metro Phoenix, AZ area.

Q: How much does this service cost?

A: Nothing! We are here to make the world a brighter place and facilities that qualify can participate at no cost.

Q: How many people can you accommodate?

A: We would like at least a 30 minute window with each participant. We will try to schedule enough time to visit everyone but depending on the number of people, it may take several visits.

Q: Will it make you motion sick?

A: There are a percentage of people who do feel nauseous from VR. Unlike most VR experiences, the app we will be using does not have a lot of movement. It’s the equivalent to standing in a still picture that surrounds you. In the event of nausea, we would end the session immediately.

Q: What COVID precautions are you taking?

A:
-
All Project Take Me There volunteers are double vaccinated.
-
We will be wearing masks and require all participants to wear masks.
-
VR equipment is sanitized between uses.
-
If the facility requests, COVID tests can be prior to the visit (paid for by the facility)
